Jorge Mottecy - Executive

Jorge Mottecy has extensive work experience in procurement and supply chain management. Jorge is currently working as the Vice President of Procurement & Supply Chain at Equinox Gold Corp. Prior to this, they held various leadership roles at Vale, including Head of Local Procurement for Canadian Operations, Head of Procurement for VNL Operations and Regional Services for Canada, Head of Procurement Intelligence and Development for Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa, and Procurement Strategic Planning and Risk Management Manager. Before joining Vale, Jorge worked at Whirlpool as a Treasury Supervisor. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in managing teams, overseeing procurement processes, optimizing supply chain integration, and driving revenue growth.

Jorge Mottecy has a diverse education history. Jorge completed an Executive MBA from both Kellogg Executive Education and Schulich School of Business - York University in 2018-2019. Prior to that, they obtained certifications in Black Belt - 6 sigma, Coaching, and Lean Office Training in 2006 and 2015 respectively. In 2001-2005, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Additionally, in 1999-2000, they completed an English language program at the International English Institute.
