Megan Rivera is currently a Fellow in Policy & Advocacy at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, a position held since April 2024. Prior to this role, Megan served as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Georgetown Center on Poverty & Inequality from February 2023 to February 2024 and worked as a Policy and Outreach Advisor for the Select Committee on Economic Disparity & Fairness in Growth at the U.S. House of Representatives from September 2021 to January 2023. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Policy from the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Houston, with additional educational experience at Houston Community College. Other previous positions include Research Associate at the UVA Equity Center, Lead Graduate Research Assistant at the Global Policy Center, Legislative Aide at the Texas House of Representatives, Field Manager for Beto for Texas, and Office Assistant/Admin at the Law Office of Manuel Gonzalez P.C.
