Sami Meddeb is an experienced materials scientist with a focus on pyrometallurgy and liquid metal corrosion. Currently serving as an Ingénieur pyrométallurgie at Eramet since January 2023, Sami previously worked as a liquid metal corrosion specialist at Renaissance Fusion, where development of test benches for high-temperature lithium corrosion and purification of liquid lithium were key responsibilities. Sami's research background includes a three-year doctoral study at CEA centered on accelerated dissolution mechanisms in liquid sodium, alongside earlier roles involving nanostructured aluminum alloys at CEA and the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research. Education credentials include a doctorate from CentraleSupélec, a degree from Grenoble INP - Phelma, and foundational studies in physics and chemistry at the Université d'Angers.
