Andrei Tintu

Andrei Tintu is an accomplished professional in the field of laboratory medicine, currently serving as an External Auditor for ISO15189 at Raad voor Accreditatie since February 2021. Holding a position as Chief Laboratory Information Officer and Clinical Chemist at Erasmus MC since May 2009, Andrei is responsible for developing and deploying innovative Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) solutions and has implemented a POCT policy aligned with ISO standards. With a strong background in clinical chemistry, Andrei has also acted as a consultant for ICT, automation, and innovation, and previously managed a yoga school in Rotterdam. Andrei’s expertise extends to advising on clinical chemistry for the Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE and engaging in significant research during a postdoctoral fellowship in Berlin and a PhD at Maastricht University, focusing on fetal hypoxia and cardiovascular disease risk factors. Academic credentials include a MSc in Molecular Medicine from Maastricht University.
