Marcella Zijta

Marcella Zijta is a PhD student (aio) at Erasmus MC since May 2023, previously serving as a data scientist at Luo Automation from March 2022 to May 2023. Education includes dual Master's degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mathematics, along with Bachelor's degrees in Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics from Delft University of Technology. Marcella has experience as a teaching assistant at Delft University of Technology from September 2015 to December 2021, where responsibilities included assisting students and grading. Previous internships include work with the Biomedical Imaging Group Rotterdam focusing on neural networks for estimating fetal gestational age and research on mathematical models for internal waves at Deltares. Additionally, experience as a volunteer involved serving dinner to residents at De Zellingen/Verpleeghuis Rijckehove.
