Robert Kraaij

Robert Kraaij has extensive experience in the field of internal medicine and urology, currently serving as a universitair docent and senior research scientist at Erasmus MC since February 1999, focusing on the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing data. Prior to this role, Robert was involved in the development and preclinical validation of adenoviral vectors for prostate cancer treatment as a postdoc and senior research scientist in the Department of Urology. Robert's academic journey includes a postdoc position at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where research centered on migration factors associated with prostate cancer metastasis, and earlier work as a PhD student investigating gonadotropin receptors. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Genetic Epidemiology from Erasmus MC and another Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Leiden University.
