Ekaterina Voynova

Ekaterina Voynova is an experienced project management and wildlife conservation professional currently serving as the Coordinator for Major Research Initiatives at Erasmus University Rotterdam since June 2022. Prior to this role, Voynova spent over eight years at WWF Bulgaria, where positions included Senior Expert in Wildlife Conservation and Project Manager, focusing on biodiversity conservation, policy advocacy, and international awareness projects. Notable achievements include leading initiatives on Danube sturgeon protection and sustainable seafood consumption. Voynova also has a background in communications, research, and editorial work with organizations such as the Association of European Journalists and Economedia. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Leiden University and a Bachelor's degree in European Studies from Sofia University.
