Blake Halstead

Blake Halstead has extensive experience in cyber security, holding various positions at ERCOT from March 2013 to December 2024, including Director of Cyber Security, Manager of Threat Operations & Intelligence, and Lead Cyber Security Analyst. Prior to ERCOT, Blake worked at LCRA from February 2006 to March 2013 as a Senior Information Security Analyst, System Administrator, and Software Integrator. Earlier career roles include Software Technician at Alcatel and Software Tester positions at DSC Communications and TAD Technical, with a foundational education obtained from The University of Texas at Austin, where studies were completed from January 1992 to January 1998.
