James Schue

James Schue is an experienced transactional attorney currently serving as Senior Corporate Counsel at ERCOT since May 2012. With expertise in cybersecurity for IT/OT contracts, privacy, and procurement, James leads legal efforts related to AI integration and governance. Prior roles at ERCOT included Corporate Counsel and Associate Corporate Counsel, where responsibilities encompassed drafting and negotiating various procurement contracts and developing cybersecurity risk management standards. James also has experience as a Law Clerk at the Railroad Commission of Texas, contributing to research on geothermal electricity regulation, and has held positions in business development and legal assistance at Invenergy LLC and Hudson & O'Leary LLP. James holds a J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law and a BA in Print Journalism and Español from Texas State University.
