Matthew Thomas served as the Senior Advisor to the Commander of the Joint Special Operations Command from 2017-2019, and was the CIA Chief of Station in the Middle East. Thomas is a career Paramilitary Operations Officer with over 20 years experience in the CIA, where he managed thousands of personnel and several operational programs in excess of a billion dollars. Prior to the CIA, Thomas served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry/Force Reconnaissance Officer, both active and reserve.
