Zam Yusa

Consultant at Ergo

Zam Yusa has a diverse and extensive work experience in journalism and media. Starting in 2010, they worked as a News Editor and later as a Consulting Editor for The-AFC.com, the official website of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). In this role, Zam covered various high-profile events and tournaments, including FIFA World Cups, AFC Asian Cups, and other international competitions.

In 2017, Zam joined FMT News as a Senior Reporter and Contributor, where they covered a range of news stories. Zam also served as a Subeditor for FMT News from 2017 to 2018.

Zam has also contributed to several prominent media outlets. Zam worked as a Contributor for The New Arab (Al-Araby Al-Jadeed), Radio Free Asia, and The Defense Post, where they wrote in-depth articles on terrorism, security, and armed conflicts in Southeast and South Asia.

Prior to their career in journalism, Zam worked as a Consultant at Ergo, where they provided expert advice in their field. Zam was also a member of the Malaysian government's counterterrorism experts panel, bringing their knowledge and expertise to contribute to important discussions.

In 2022, Zam joined Al Aan TV as a Southeast Asia Terrorism-Conflict Correspondent, further expanding their experience in covering news related to terrorism and conflict in the region.

Zam's most recent work experience is founding and serving as the Editor for SEA MILITANCY, an organization focused on providing in-depth analysis and reporting on militancy in Southeast Asia.

Throughout their career, Zam has demonstrated a strong passion for journalism, armed conflicts, terrorism, and security, covering a wide range of topics and events.

Zam Yusa obtained a Diploma in Law from the University of London in the period of 1997 to 1998.
