Dr. Claudia Tapia Garcia

Dr. Claudia Tapia Garcia serves as the Head of Global IPR Policy Research and Academic Relations at Ericsson, with additional roles as Director of IPR Policy & Legal Academic Research within RIPL Strategy & Portfolio Management. Since December 2022, Dr. Tapia Garcia has been a Lecturer and Academic Fellow at Università Bocconi, focusing on intellectual property and standardization. Additionally, Dr. Tapia Garcia has held the position of President at 4iP Council, promoting research in intellectual property and innovation. Previous experience includes a spokesperson role at IP Europe, and various positions at BlackBerry, including Director of IP Policy and Senior IPR Counsel. Dr. Tapia Garcia completed a PhD in International Patent Law at the University of Augsburg and has pursued further studies in coaching.
