Serge Turgeon

Serge Turgeon is a highly experienced software and firmware specialist with over two decades in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist in L1 Software Architecture at Ericsson since November 2009, Serge's expertise includes Cloud Native NR PHY, 5G NR Layer 1 PHY, and 4G LTE PHY/MAC/User-Plane Control. Prior roles include Senior Software Designer positions at Nortel Networks, where contributions were made to 4G LTE MAC, and at Nokia, focusing on FTTN IP DSLAM. Serge began a career in software design with experience in embedded software at SiberCore Technologies, PMC-Sierra, and Extreme Packet Devices, as well as machine vision at Wann Connection Devices. Serge holds a Master of Science in Physics from Université Laval and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Laurentian University.
