James Turner

James Turner, RN, BSN, is the Senior Vice President of Surgical and Outpatient Services at ECMC, where he provides administrative and clinical oversight of all procedural and surgical services, including: bariatric, transplant, primary care and specialty care services, radiology, campus construction, plant operation, biomedical engineering, and safety and security departments.

Possessing over three decades of experience in the nursing field, James is licensed in New York State as a Registered Nurse, and has garnered numerous awards, including: Daemen Outstanding Graduate award for graduate accomplishments in 2004; Niagara County Community College appreciation award for ongoing program contributions, 2007; Greater Niagara Frontier Council of Boy Scouts Troop 457, Adult Scouter of the Year, leadership award for selfless service in 2008 and 2009; Kenmore East High School Hall of Academic Distinction award, 2011.

He is active in the educational community as a Foundation board member of Niagara County Community College, an Alumni Committee member, and a Surgical Technician Program Advisory Board member. He is on the Erie County Community College Nursing Advisory Committee. His community involvement includes board membership of the Niagara Frontier Bike Club.
