Michael H. Hoffert

Michael Hoffert is a member of the Board of Directors at ECMC.

His professional career includes nearly three decades at the City of Buffalo, and currently serves as Senior Engineer in charge of street lighting, surveys, and plans with the Department of Public Works, Parks, and Streets. Previously, he held positions as Assistant Engineer, Investigator, and Drafting Technician.

He has served on a number of boards in Western New York in addition to ECMC’s, including Buffalo AFL-CIO Labor (as President), United Way of Buffalo, the Western New York Area Labor Federation, the St. Joseph Guild, and the Erie County Industrial Development Agency.

Michael Hoffert has been recognized for his work and service with a number of awards, including the Communications Workers of America Eugene J. Mays Memorial Award and the Coalition for Black Trade Unionists Isaac Meyers Leadership Award.
