Ronald Schoelerman

Ronald Schoelerman, LCSW-R, CCTP-II has a diverse work experience that spans over multiple sectors. Ronald started their career in 1996 as a Billing Supervisor at the Center for Orthopedics. In 1998, they worked as a Mental Health Counselor at Greenwood Residences. In 1999, they became a Childcare Therapy Aide at Child and Family Services, and later became a Unit Supervisor at DSS Residential Units within the same organization. From 2001 to 2007, they worked as a Senior Child Protective Caseworker at Erie County Dept of Social Services - Child Protective Services. Ronald then transitioned to Erie County Forensic Mental Health, where they served as a Forensic Mental Health Specialist I/LMSW. In 2011, they worked as a Medical Social Worker under an independent contract with Niagara County Department of Health. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Senior Counselor at Horizon Health Services. In 2015, they joined Erie County Department of Mental Health - Forensic as the Director of Intensive Adult Mental Health Services until 2022. Ronald supervised and oversaw the Forensic Mental Health staff and mental health service delivery within the Erie County Holding Center and Erie County Correctional Facility. In 2016, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor at the University at Buffalo (UB). Currently, they hold the position of Assistant Vice President of Behavioral Health and Community Services at Erie County Medical Center Corporation since 2022 and is expected to assume the role of Vice President of Behavioral Health from May 2023 onwards.
