Pamela Pesta

Pamela Pesta has extensive experience in internal audit, supply management, and consulting. Pamela currently holds the position of VP, Chief Internal Audit Officer at Erie Insurance Group, where they set the strategic direction and leads a team providing independent, risk-based, objective assurance and consulting services. Pamela also serves on the Board of Directors Audit Committee and provides support to the Audit Committee Chair.

Before joining Erie Insurance Group, Pamela worked at Nationwide, where they held various roles including VP, Head of Supply Management Services, AVP, Internal Audit Strategy & Operations, Senior Audit Consultant, and Audit Consultant. In these roles, they provided strategic direction, oversaw teams, and implemented programs to manage risk, compliance, and fraud prevention.

Prior to Nationwide, Pamela worked at Navigant Consulting as a Senior Managing Consultant, where they managed engagement teams providing financial and data analysis in insurance and environmental class action litigation. Pamela also implemented an electronic imaging system to improve efficiency and handle confidential materials.

Pamela began their career at Arthur Andersen & Co. as an Economic & Financial Consulting Manager, where they led consulting teams and provided forensic accounting and financial analysis. Pamela also played a key role in business development, creating opportunities totaling $7 million.

Pamela Pesta holds an MBA degree from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, which they obtained between 2004 and 2008. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University, earning a BSBA in Finance from 1991 to 1996. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the CFE - Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the CIA - Certified Internal Auditor, the CRMA - Certified in Risk Management Assurance, and the ESG Certificate: Internal Auditing for Sustainable Organizations, all from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc.
