Sandra Groot-Kogels

Sandra Groot-Kogels has extensive work experience in the legal field. Sandra currently holds the position of Head Legal Counsel NL at ERIKS Nederland, a role they have been in since January 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Legal Counsel at the same company from December 2018 until January 2021.

From April 2015 to November 2018, Sandra worked as a Corporate Lawyer/Proxy holder at The Citco Group Limited. Before that, they worked as a Kandidaat-notaris at HVG - Holland Van Gijzen Advocaten en Notarissen LLP from May 2011 to April 2015.

Sandra also gained international experience as a Corporate Lawyer at Donahue & Partners LLP in New York, where they worked from July 2014 to October 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Company Lawyer at ATC Corporate Services (Netherlands) B.V. from June 2009 to April 2011.

During their early career, Sandra held various intern and student positions. Sandra was a Student-stagiaire at Van Doorne and Van Eps Kunneman Van Doorne in 2008, a Werkstudent at Allen & Overy from July 2007 to August 2008, and a Student-stagiaire at Allen & Overy LLP in May and June 2007. Sandra also gained experience as a Werkstudent at Lubbers en Dijk from September 2006 to May 2007.

Sandra Groot-Kogels has a diverse education history spanning multiple institutions and fields of study. Sandra completed their VWO (pre-university education) at OSG Willem Blaeu in Alkmaar from 1997 to 2003, specializing in the field of Natuur & gezondheid (Science & Health). Sandra then attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Notarieel Recht (Notarial Law) followed by a Master's degree in Notarieel Recht. Moving forward, Sandra pursued a Minor in Ondernemingsrecht (Business Law) at the University of Amsterdam from 2010 to 2011. Sandra then enrolled in Stichting Beroepsopleiding Notariaat, where they completed a Post Master's degree in Beroepsopleiding Notariaat (Professional Training in Notarial Law) from 2011 to 2014. Continuing their education, Sandra attended Leiden University in 2017, specializing in the field of Contracting through the Specialisatieopleiding Contracteren (Specialization in Contracting). In 2019, they pursued Postacademisch onderwijs (Postgraduate education) at Leiden University, focusing on Intellectuele eigendom (Intellectual Property). Most recently, Sandra is currently attending Radboud University in 2022, undertaking the Senior Legal Counsel Academy.
