JOB DESCRIPTION

Eriksen seeks a motivated, experienced business development manager with excellent sales, client management, communication, and account expansion skills. You will use your talents to identify, prospect, win clients and build long-standing mutually beneficial relationships.

Working remotely, you will grow business by identifying prospective clients, and initiating and closing sales. Your success depends on your ability to navigate and understand the client landscape; build a strong rapport with prospects; understand their needs and position solutions that will help them achieve their goals; and educate them about Eriksen’s unique value. You will be an integral part of a team that manages client expectations and partners closely with production to provide client-centric solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively identify new prospective clients or areas of opportunity with corporate clients.

  • Source new prospects through email, cold calling, and networking, as well as attendance at appropriate conferences and tradeshows.

  • Initiate and maintain relationships with decision makers to establish and grow new accounts.

  • Leverage existing client relationships to drive revenue from their subsidiaries and portfolio companies.

  • Articulate Eriksen’s offerings and capabilities and identify opportunities to align our services with prospects’ business needs.

  • Work with marketing team to develop content and strategies that will effectively engage your target prospects.

  • Build a productive, quantifiable pipeline and accurately report on all aspects of your business development activities.

  • Ensure new opportunities are tracked and closed in a timely manner.

  • Stay abreast of evolving client requirements and trends in the localization industry.

  • Seek out opportunities to add value and improve the client experience.

  • Initiate relationships with decision makers to establish and grow accounts.

  • Keep CRM up to date ensuring accuracy and transparency.

  • Create proposals and respond to RFP/RFIs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of hands-on business development, sales, and/or client management experience in the language services industry.

  • Capable of devising and executing sales ideas and strategies.

  • Thorough understanding of human translation, MTPE, transcreation, voiceover/captioning, and multilingual DTP.

  • In-depth knowledge of the technology landscape in the language services market, including TMS, AI, MT, TM, CAT tools, proxy solutions, and integrations/connectors.

  • Able to discuss workflow solutions and technology nuances and function as both a salesperson and a solutions architect.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Excellent English oral and written interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to develop strong customer relationships and deliver value to clients.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent negotiation, problem solving, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.

  • Value honesty and integrity.
