Dr. Mark A. Arneson

Dr. Mark A. Arneson has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in laboratory management. Dr. Mark A. currently serves as the System Laboratory Director at Erlanger Health System since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Piedmont Healthcare from 2017 to 2022, holding the positions of Director of Laboratory Services at both Piedmont Henry Hospital and Piedmont Newton Hospital. In these roles, they led large teams and implemented strategic plans to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Before joining Piedmont Healthcare, Dr. Arneson served as the Director of Laboratory Services at Saint Agnes Medical Center from 2015 to 2017. Dr. Mark A. ensured compliance with regulations and aligned laboratory goals with the broader medical center initiatives. Earlier in their career, they worked at Greenville Health System as a Laboratory Manager, overseeing multiple hospital laboratories and managing budgets, workforce, and equipment procurement. Dr. Mark A. also had an interim dual management position, overseeing the Radiology department and achieving operational objectives.

Dr. Mark A. Arneson has a Doctorate degree in Business Administration - Healthcare Management and Leadership (DBA HCML) from California Intercontinental University, which they obtained in 2015. Before that, they completed their Master of Science in Management in 2009 and their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2007, both from Southern Wesleyan University. In addition to their degrees, Dr. Arneson is currently pursuing a Six Sigma Green Belt certification, and they also hold certifications as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and as a Medical Technologist (MT) from the American Medical Technologists.
