Makko DeFilippo

Mr. DeFilippo serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company and is responsible for corporate development and investor relations. He is a diversified mining finance and technical professional specializing in strategic planning, M&A advisory and mineral processing. He was most recently a Director, Corporate Finance within FTI Consulting’s Global Mining Advisory Practice where he advised both mining companies and mining-focused private equity firms on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring initiatives. Prior to joining FTI, Mr. DeFilippo was a Partner of Ero Resource Partners and an Investment Analyst for Liberty Metals & Mining LLC, the mining private equity group of Liberty Mutual Group. Previous roles have included research and consulting positions in geotechnical mine design and mineral processing. He holds a M.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a B.Sc. in Geological Engineering from the University of Arizona.
