Sowmya Shankaran

Sowmya Shankaran serves as the Manager of Global Compensation at ESAB since January 2020. Prior to this role, Sowmya held the position of Team Lead in HR Services at VMware from September 2012 to August 2019, where key projects included streamlining global payroll processing and restructuring for the APJ region. Earlier experience includes roles at Altisource Technology, Flex, Larsen & Toubro, Hyundai Motor Company, and Delphi-TVS, focused on HR operations, employee exits, and training development. Educational qualifications encompass an MA in Human Resources from Madras School of Social Work and a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from Annamalai University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce.
