Stefan Obersteiner began their work experience in 1996 at NÖM AG, where they worked in quality management until 1998. In 1998, they joined esarom GmbH and held various roles including Quality Control and Hygiene Manager, Head of Quality Management, Head of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management, and Head of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management and Quality Control. Stefan worked at esarom GmbH until 2017, and is currently the Head of Regulatory Affairs and Product Information.

Stefan Obersteiner completed their education from 1988 to 1996 at Universität für Bodenkultur, Wien. During this time, they earned a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Lebensmittel- und Biotechnologie.
