Luis Olivares-Lugo

Luis Olivares-Lugo has a long history of professional experience. Luis began their career in 1999 as a Senior Consultant & Researcher at Quality for Business Success, LLC. In 2001, they joined Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico as Managing Director and Associate Professor & Industry Advisory Board Consultant in the Industrial & Systems Engineering Department. In this role, they were involved with coaching and mentoring of key professional projects in the industry for the undergraduate Capstone Design Project and for the Facilities Planning and Design Project. Luis was also an Operational Excellence Evangelist with interest in Quality and Compliance Systems, Lean Six Sigma Methodologies and Tools, and a Certification Expert in all LSS Levels providing coaching to professional projects for the Continuous Professional Development Initiatives. In 2019, they became President of OPEX Design Partners LLC and Business Development & Strategic Operations at Escalate Sciences.

Luis Olivares-Lugo obtained a Master's degree in Management Systems Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez between 1997 and 1999.
