Escher Group is seeking an experienced native German speaking Project Manager with a passion for excellence, thrives in leading technology initiatives and wants to add value in helping our key clients transform their business. This role requires a leader and team player with strong project management skills who has a proactive, self-starter personality willing to go above and beyond every day. This role also requires someone with strong client-relationship skills, and who can grow a trusted partnership with our key client in Germany driving customer success. The ideal candidate will be located near Bonn and/or Frankfurt Germany (able to travel to Darmstadt or Bonn).

As the Project Manager, you will own the following responsibilities:

  • Leads the planning and implementation of Escher’s solutions for an existing Escher key client through oversight of requirements gathering, development, QA, client UAT and rollout of software releases within budget and scope
  • Acts as the primary contact with our key client in Germany and possible other clients in the DACH region
  • Builds strong trusted relationships with client’s teams and stakeholders and develops a deep understanding of client’s business objectives
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and strengthen relationships
  • Manage project scope by ensuring any changes are documented and approved through a change control process
  • Focused on quality of requirements and quality of software releases, making sure requirements are well understood and documented, and that software is tested appropriately prior to release
  • Proactively identify risks and create successful action plans for resolving issues and mitigating risks
  • Proactively set and manage client and project team expectations
  • Identifies opportunities for growth in line with Escher’s strategic direction and growth ambitions
  • Provide program level reporting including operational, quality, and financial metrics
  • Works to identify client needs and to be implemented as change requests in the client’s software release plan

Qualifications:

  • 5+ year experience managing projects involving software development (Agile/Scrum required), QA, and Support
  • Experience as a Product Owner and/or Business Analyst preferred
  • Prior experience in software development services and customer support for enterprise/large clients
  • Prior experience in client expectation management and ability to have conversations at all client levels
  • Experiencing leading and managing geographically dispersed teams and resources
  • Demonstrated aptitude to understand a variety of technical domains and strategies regarding opportunities, challenges, risks and business impact
  • Strong facilitation skills, leading scoping and design sessions and identifying and resolving client and team risks and conflicts
  • PMP or other Project Management certification desirable
  • BS degree or equivalent in a related technical field required

Other:

  • Excellent command of both English and German (Native German speaker)
  • Ability to meet and work frequently onsite with our client in Germany
  • Ability to drive project meetings with the client in German
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tasks, with the ability to remain positive and calm
  • Experience with toolsets used to manage software delivery and project management tasks such as JIRA
