Caterina Ositashvili has extensive work experience in the field of quality assurance and testing. Caterina is currently working as a QA Engineer at Escher Group since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Quality Assurance Tester at Emploi et Développement social Canada (EDSC) / Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) from September 2020 to December 2020.
Caterina also has a long history of working as an independent contractor, serving as a Senior QA Analyst from 2001 to 2020. During this time, they held various roles and responsibilities in different organizations. From June 2015 to August 2020, they worked as a Senior QA Analyst at The Canadian Real Estate Association | L'Association canadienne de l'immeuble. Caterina began their career as a Web Developer/Tester at Experica - CanadaArt.ca from October 2002 to February 2003, where they developed a client-server system for HR purposes and designed complex interactive databases.
Throughout their career, Caterina has gained expertise in quality assurance methodologies, test planning, test execution, and documentation. Caterina has experience in both waterfall and agile development environments and has worked with various technologies and programming languages.
Caterina Ositashvili's education history starts in 1984 when they enrolled in Moscow State University for Transportation Engineers. Caterina pursued a Master of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics and completed their studies in 1990. During the same period, they also obtained a minor degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Moscow State University of Transport (MIIT).
In 2000, Caterina attended the Praxis Training Institute, where they earned an Internet Developer Diploma with Honours. The program focused on various subjects including SQL, XML, ASP, Java, JSP, ColdFusion, HTML, JavaScript, Perl, JDBC, and LINUX. Caterina completed the program in 2001.
Additionally, Caterina has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2020, they received the Microsoft Teams Essential certification from LinkedIn and obtained an Agile Fundamentals Training certification from Learning Tree International. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Agile Testing Strategies and Practices from the same institution.
Furthermore, Caterina holds certifications in Web Accessibility Concepts from SSB Technologies + BART Group (2013) and ISTQB Certified Tester from SELA Canada (2012). Caterina also has certifications in ITIL v3 Intermediate: Release, Control and Validation from QUINT WELLINGTON REDWOOD ACADEMY USA LLC (2012) and ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN (2012).
Caterina's additional certifications include a Web Site Management Certificate from the Canadian Society of Association Executives (2002) and a Security Clearance Secret Level II from the Government of Canada (2020). Lastly, they obtained a Management Skills Certificate from the Canadian Society of Association Executives in 2001.
