Monica Bruni

Monica Bruni is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Escher Group. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Vox Mobile from February 2018 to March 2019. In this position, Monica was responsible for establishing financial reporting and forecasting models for a start up company. This included developing processes and controls for all accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset management, cash management, inventory valuation and control. Monica facilitated the preparation and coordination of the strategic plan, capital plan, annual budget and profit/operation plan. Monica also managed all aspects of external and internal audits on an annual basis. Furthermore, Monica was responsible for ensuring adherence to all governmental regulations regarding sales and use tax. Lastly, they maintained the capitalization table, managed investment activity, and fundraising activities.

Prior to their time at Vox Mobile, Monica served as the Controller at ChemDAQ, Inc. from September 2006 to April 2009. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of financial reporting for a publicly traded company. This included preparing monthly financial statements, coordinating the annual audit and overseeing the accounting department. Additionally, Monica was responsible for developing and implementing internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

After their time at ChemDAQ, Inc., Monica became the Vice President of Business Operations at TrueCommerce, Inc. where they served from April 2009 to January 2018. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, human resources, legal and IT. This included developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. Additionally, Monica was responsible for preparing and coordinating the annual budget process as well as overseeing all aspects of payroll and benefits administration. Lastly, they managed the selection and implementation of all ERP and CRM systems.

Monica Bruni has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Robert Morris University.
