Michael Haenlein serves as a Professor of Marketing at ESCP Business School since September 2005, focusing on customer value management, relationship management, pricing strategy, and social media. In addition to this role, Michael holds several key positions including Associate Dean Executive PhD at RRBM Responsible Research in Business and Management, Adjunct Professor at Trinity College Dublin, and Chair in Responsible Research in Marketing at the University of Liverpool Management School. Michael is also involved with various organizations as a Member of the Board of Advisors at FERRANDI Paris and the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, and as Vice President Publications for the European Marketing Academy. Additionally, Michael has been active on the AMA Academic Council as President Elect-Designate and serves on the Working Board of RRBM. Michael's research interests include customer relationship management, social media, video games, artificial intelligence, and big data. Michael’s academic background includes a PhD in Business Administration from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and an HDR from Université Paris-Sorbonne.
