Peter Chmura

Peter Chmura has a diverse work experience in the field of threat intelligence and information security. Peter started their career at CIBC in 2015 as an Information Security Coordinator (CO-OP) for a seven-month period. After that, they joined Deloitte Canada in 2016, initially as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Consultant, and later as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Senior Consultant. Peter worked at Deloitte for two and a half years before joining eSentire in 2019. At eSentire, Peter has held two roles so far: Threat Intelligence Analyst - Integrations & Development from May 2019 to January 2023, and currently, they are working as a Threat Intelligence Researcher since February 2023.

Peter Chmura completed their Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Security from Sheridan College. Peter attended Sheridan College from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Loyola Catholic Secondary School from 2009 to 2012, but did not earn a degree or specialize in any field during that time.

In addition to their degree, Peter Chmura also obtained several certifications. In December 2018, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Later, in June 2017, they obtained the GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) certification from Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC). Most recently, in January 2022, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services.
