Thomas Mayer

Thomas Mayer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in software development, data architecture, and research in the fields of machine learning and optimization. Currently serving as Product Owner for Team AI and Engineering Lead for Mission (Re-)Planning at German FCMS GbR since April 2023, Thomas also holds the position of Lead Solutions Architect and Data Architect at ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH since February 2022. Prior to these roles, Thomas contributed as a Postdoctoral and Postgraduate Researcher at Universität der Bundeswehr München from October 2014 to February 2022, focusing on vehicle routing, simulation, and algorithm selection. Additional experience includes positions at Mühlbauer Group, D-SIMLAB Technologies Singapore, and 3m5. IT Business Services, along with academic qualifications including a Doctorate in Computer Science from Bundeswehr University Munich and a Master of Science from Technische Universität Dresden.
