David Shearer

David Shearer is the current Non-Executive Chairman at Stobart Group. Prior to this, they served as Chairman at Liberty Living from June 2015 to July 2018. David has also held positions as Senior Independent Director at STV Group plc from February 2007 to April 2017 and as Chairman at Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust plc from January 2007 to September 2019. Other companies they have been involved with include Amber River Group, Speedy Hire plc, Scottish Edge Fund, Buchanan Shearer Associates LLP, and Martin Currie (Holdings) Limited.

David Shearer attended the University of Glasgow, where they received a BAcc in Accounting, Finance & Law. David also participated in the Deloitte Global Leadership Development programme at Columbia Business School. Before attending university, they attended Eastwood High School and Williamwood High School.
