Member Of The Reporting Working Group (esma) at European Securities and Markets Authority

Matteo Modena, Ph.D., serves as a Member of the Reporting Working Group at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) since April 2023. In addition, Matteo Modena has been an Adjunct Professor at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore since September 2017, teaching Introductory Macroeconomics. With extensive experience as a Senior Financial Economist at CONSOB since October 2011, Matteo Modena previously contributed to ESMA as a member of the DSC Funds Task Force and the CEMA AIFMD Task Force from 2019 to 2022. Academic roles include being a Research Fellow at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, along with adjunct and teaching fellow positions at various institutions including Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, The University of Glasgow, and University of Strathclyde. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Applied Financial Macroeconometrics from the University of Glasgow, a Master’s Degree from the University of Edinburgh Business School, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Economics from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.
