Víctor Barrientos

Víctor Barrientos has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles in the technology and accessibility field. Víctor began their career at Sermicro as a Senior Software Analyst and later became the Technical Director at Grupo W-Mega. In 2012, they joined Esment as the IT Manager and Assistive Technology Director, where they led various projects focused on using technology to support individuals with special needs. In 2015, they became a Trainer in Assistive Technologies at Esment Escola Professional. Víctor also co-founded MasQueMakers in 2020 and became an Associate and Trainer at Makespace Mallorca, promoting innovation and sustainability. Víctor'slatest role was as the Co-founder and Accessibility Director at Lucca, where they ensured the application's accessibility and worked on integrating accessibility into its development process. Overall, Víctor has demonstrated a strong commitment to using technology for inclusivity and accessibility throughout their career.

Víctor Barrientos has a diverse education history. Víctor obtained a degree in Computer Engineering, specializing in software engineering and multimedia applications from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Furthermore, they pursued a Master's degree in Social Innovation from Learning by Helping. In 2023, Víctor attended the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid to study Mobile Applications and other Technologies for People with Autism Spectrum Disorder, focusing on software development and multimedia applications. Before their higher education, they completed a specialist technician program in Electronics at IES Politecnic between 1999 and 2001.
