Reinhard Ekl

Reinhard Ekl has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Reinhard is currently working as the VP of Product at ESO since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at RapidDeploy from October 2018 to October 2021. Before that, they held positions at RapidSOS, starting as the Director of Product from September 2015 to September 2017, and later as the VP of Product & Public Safety from September 2017 to October 2018.

Reinhard also has experience in emergency services, having worked as a Trained Austrian Paramedic / Incident Commander at Samariterbund Wien from October 2005 to December 2016. Additionally, they worked as an MBA Summer Intern at Google in June 2014, contributing to the Crisis Response team and conducting research on improving critical information accessibility during natural disasters.

Prior to that, Reinhard worked as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group from September 2010 to June 2013, providing executive-level project consulting services to clients across various industries. Reinhard also had a brief internship at McKinsey & Company as a Fellow Intern from April 2010 to June 2010, and worked as a Visiting Associate at The Boston Consulting Group in August 2008. Reinhard started their career as a Summer Research Intern at Ativa in February 2008 and later served as a Senior Call Center Agent at Competence Call Center from March 2004 to February 2006.

Reinhard Ekl has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Their emphasis area during their studies was Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Innovation. Reinhard also obtained a Certificate in Public Management and Social Innovation. Prior to their MBA, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in International Business at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business). Additionally, they had an exchange term at the University of Technology Sydney.
