Daniele Roppolo is currently the Director of Animal Experimentation at the University of Geneva, providing support for over 500 scientists in life sciences while balancing public perspectives on animal research. Roppolo also serves as a Scientific Consultant for the European Society for Organ Transplantation, helping to develop a platform for post-transplant patient data collection. In addition, Roppolo is the President of the Working Group STAAR for swissuniversities, focusing on transparency in animal research practices. Previously, Roppolo held various roles, including Science Manager at the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, National Coordinator for swissuniversities, and Research Team Leader at the University of Bern, where Roppolo’s research centered on plant development. Roppolo's educational background includes a PhD in Molecular Neurobiology from the University of Geneva and significant training in project management and media communication for scientists.
