Penilla Gunther

Penilla Gunther is an experienced professional with a strong focus on healthcare and patient advocacy. Currently, Penilla serves as a member of the EU Cancer Mission Board and the Steering Committee for the European Cancer Patients Digital Centre at the European Commission. Penilla’s significant roles also include being a member of the Advisory Board for the European University Hospital Alliance and the founder and Program Director of FOKUS Patient, a networking hub for patient associations and disability organizations. Additional positions include partnering at Citizens Affairs AB, presidency at the European Patient Safety Foundation, and involvement in various organizations such as the European Society for Organ Transplantation, European Cancer Organisation, Global Heart Hub, and the HeartFailure Policy Network. Penilla's educational background includes studies in Tourism Science at Mid Sweden University and Political Science at University West.
