Igor Iankovych

Igor Iankovych is the current CTO at Esportal Group. Prior to this, they were the Head of Research and Development / Acting CTO at Billion games from October 2017 to December 2020. In this role, they managed the development team, made high-level architecture decisions, and chose the best-suited technology, tools, and platforms. Igor also made sure that the team worked on delivering product and business value, rather than just code. Igor coordinated work between client/server developers and QAs, and implemented all critical game infrastructure components, like platform, server, game client, etc. Igor also communicated with clients regarding technical details of ongoing and planned software development.

Before Billion games, Igor worked as the Lead Java Developer at NetEnt from March 2013 to October 2017. In this role, they led the company's core team of experienced developers scattered in multiple studios across the globe and was one of the key developers who helped to introduce the FullStack approach. Igor led by example, becoming the first FullStack developer in the company. Igor also handled and prioritized backlogs, performed code reviews, investigated the most complex cases, designed and prepared architecture for new features, mentored and coached other developers, and helped with recruitment. Igor continued to implement servers and clients for new NetEnt games on a daily basis.

Igor Iankovych has a master's degree in computer and information systems security/information assurance from the National Aviation University.
