Andrew Payne

Andrew Payne is an accomplished Operations General Manager at Essar Oil (UK) Limited, having held various leadership roles since August 2011, including Head of Manufacturing and Technology Manager. With a focus on leading a team of 40 Chemical Engineers, Andrew is responsible for process safety, project scoping, and overseeing an annual capital expenditure budget of $100 million. Prior to Essar, Andrew gained extensive experience at Shell from September 1990 to July 2011, serving in multiple managerial positions, including Oil Movements Manager and Assistant Unit Manager for the Shell Higher Olefins Process. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from The University of Manchester and is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (FIChemE), recognized as a Chartered Chemical Engineer.
