Rohit Tandon

Rohit Tandon is an experienced Chief Information Security Officer currently employed at Essentia Health since October 2022. In addition to this role, Rohit has served as an Adjunct Professor at Metropolitan State University since August 2013, where responsibilities include developing and delivering cyber security and software engineering courses, as well as mentoring students in capstone projects. Prior to Essentia Health, Rohit held the position of Assistant Commissioner and Chief Information Security Officer at the State of Minnesota from June 2019 to October 2022, overseeing the Central IT Enterprise Security Office and collaborating with executive leadership to enhance cyber security strategy across more than 90 agencies. Rohit's extensive background also includes serving as Manager of Information Security at Strategic Education, Inc. from July 2016 to May 2019 and as Principal Information Security Analyst at Mayo Clinic from May 2005 to June 2016. Rohit holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Winona State University.
