Joe Wyndham

Joe Wyndham is a Senior Data Scientist specializing in power systems forecasting at Essential Energy since October 2023, focusing on statistical and machine learning models, data pipeline design, and energy transition trends. Previously, Joe held a similar role at Gridcog, developing microgrid planning software and cloud infrastructure for energy datasets. From January 2016 to June 2022, Joe was a Researcher and Data Scientist at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at UTS, where significant projects included advanced energy modeling and leading award-winning initiatives. Earlier experiences include tutoring STEM subjects for Indigenous students and various engineering roles in civil construction and hydraulic modeling. Joe holds a PhD in Sustainable Futures from the University of Technology Sydney, along with a Master’s in Renewable Energy Engineering and a Bachelor in Civil Engineering.
