Christine Saball

Christine Saball is vice president, tax for Essential (NYSE: WTRG), one of the largest publicly traded water, wastewater and natural gas providers in the U.S., serving approximately 5 million people across 10 states.

Saball oversees Essential’s income tax functions with responsibility for tax aspects of acquisitions, planning, policy, risk management, financial reporting and compliance. She manages a team assisting in regulatory filings, performing tax research, and providing budget and strategic guidance on tax matters.

Saball works closely with the teams across the business to align and integrate the organization's regulatory and tax strategy. As the head of tax for the Company, she oversees and manages accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 and ASC 980, federal and state tax compliance filings, and assists in regulatory filings including base rate cases for Essential’s businesses. She is responsible for developing policies that ensure the Company complies with government regulations.
