Alberto Mantilla

Alberto Mantilla has an extensive work experience in quality engineering and compliance roles. Alberto began their career at Grupo COMPEX as a Gestor de Calidad from 1998 to 2000. Alberto then worked at CEFOF as a Consultor Independiente from 2002 to 2004, followed by a brief role as a Consultor at Quality Consulting in 2004.

In 2004, they joined ArthroCare Corporation as a Senior Quality Materials Engineer, where they executed batch record and QA final inspections. Alberto also created a process for DHR approval support and led the Quality Process Team.

From 2007 to 2012, Alberto worked at Hewlett-Packard, first as an Information Risk & Continuity Officer, where they participated in compliance audits and developed and executed compliance audits on various teams. Alberto later served as a Quality Lead (Senior), providing support to transition processes, developing improvement projects, and designing and executing the LeanSigma Green Belt training and certification program.

From 2012 to 2013, they worked at SMC Ltd as a Quality Engineer, focusing on validation protocols and reports for molded components. Alberto also participated in customer audits.

In 2014, Alberto joined Confluent Medical Technologies as a Quality Engineer, where they were involved in daily QC work, development and close out of non-conformance reports, and SLR SDX upload reviews.

From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Tegra Medical as a Quality Engineer, responsible for daily QC work, NCR disposition and approval, ECO/ECN development, and training of QC personnel.

Currently, Alberto is employed at Establishment Labs as a Senior Quality Engineer.

Alberto Mantilla has a strong educational background in industrial engineering. Alberto obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (Bachiller) from the Universidad Internacional de las Américas, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Alberto further pursued their education in the same field and received a Degree in Industrial Engineering (Licenciatura) from the same university from 1999 to 2000.

Additionally, Alberto has certifications in quality management and auditing. Alberto obtained the ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification in December 2005, followed by the ASQ Certified Quality Auditor certification in June 2006. In March 2007, they achieved the ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence certification. Furthermore, Alberto has acquired expertise in medical device auditing through the ASQ Certified Medical Device Auditor certification obtained in March 2014.
