Cagkan Yildiz

Cagkan Yildiz is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in battery systems and electrification. As the Co-founder and CTO of Estes Energy since April 2024, Cagkan leads innovative energy solutions. Previously, Cagkan served as the Director of Engineering for Battery Systems at Proterra Inc, overseeing system architecture and modeling, cell engineering, and data systems from January 2022 to March 2024. Cagkan's notable roles also include Staff Technical Program Manager at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc., where focus was on next-gen automotive particle development, and Electrification Program Leader at Cummins Inc., managing multi-million dollar programs for lithium-ion battery platforms and low-voltage battery markets. Cagkan's career includes significant contributions in continuous improvement, diagnostics for off-highway programs, and research in mechanical engineering, culminating in multiple degrees in the field from esteemed institutions.
