Demi Dorland

Demi Dorland is a dedicated professional in the field of youth assistance and social pedagogy, currently serving as a trainer and guide at Oké op School since September 2020. In this role, Demi provides support to children in regular primary education, focusing on social-emotional development through training in areas such as social skills, anxiety management, emotional regulation, concentration, resilience, and self-confidence. With previous experience as a social pedagogical caregiver at Vitree, Demi has worked with young mothers and at-risk youth to help them achieve developmental goals. Additionally, Demi is involved with Estivant Vakanties as an activities coordinator and location manager, enhancing vacation experiences for single-parent families. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Forensische Orthopedagogiek at the University of Amsterdam, Demi has also gained practical experience through a master’s internship at the Landelijk Psychotraumacentrum and the Centrum Seksueel Geweld Utrecht, as well as previous roles that include social pedagogical caregiver and internship positions at various organizations.
