Justin Catalano

As Managing Director and Group Head of the private equity investment division at Fengate Asset Management, Justin actively manages more than $800M of equity capital commitments on behalf of the firm’s investors. To date, Fengate private equity has provided equity investments in support of portfolio companies which in aggregate are valued at approximately $1.8B of enterprise value. Justin has primary responsibility for fund strategy, portfolio construction, investment decision-making, team development, deal origination, and investor relations.

Fengate’s private equity portfolio includes investments in platforms across North America in a variety of sectors including data centers, retirement homes, health care services, resorts and casinos, residential services, and energy services. Justin presently sits as a board of director on five portfolio companies, including eStruxture, the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Seasons Retirement Communities, Ecotex Ontario and NRSTOR C&I, and he serves in an advisory capacity to a number of operating companies outside of the Fengate portfolio.

Justin joined Fengate in 2011. Prior to managing Fengate’s private equity investment business, Justin was a director within Fengate’s infrastructure practice with responsibility for infrastructure projects across North America, Chile and select OECD countries. Justin previously held positions at Birch Hill Equity Partners, TD Capital and TD Securities. Justin is a CFA charterholder and holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
