Ashraful Alam

Ashraful Alam is a Power Systems Engineer at ETAP - Operation Technology, Inc. since October 2021, specializing in developing algorithms to enhance electrical distribution systems and integrating distributed energy resources. Prior to this role, Ashraful served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Tuskegee University from August 2018 to July 2021, where innovative strategies for voltage control were designed using model predictive controllers and genetic algorithms. Ashraful's experience also includes working as a Sub Divisional Engineer at the Bangladesh Power Development Board from July 2014 to August 2018, focusing on power plant operations and SCADA systems, and as a Project Engineer with the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board from January 2013 to July 2014, involving significant consumer connection projects. Ashraful holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology.
