Ishan Shah

Ishan Shah is a Machine Learning Co-Design Member of Technical Staff at Etched since September 2025. Previously, Ishan worked as a Software Developer at Optiver from January 2024 to October 2025, specializing in options market making, and at Citadel Securities from September 2022 to November 2023, focusing on reliable multicast. Ishan also served as a CPU Microarchitecture Researcher at the Department of Computer Science, The University of Texas at Austin, from June 2019 to May 2022, and held short-term positions as a Software Engineer - Hypervisor at VMware in summer 2021 and as a CPU Microarchitect/Researcher at Apple during summer 2020. Ishan holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, completed in May 2022, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science with Turing Honors from the same institution, awarded in May 2021.
