Ben Groves

Ben Groves has a strong background in DevOps and site reliability engineering. Ben started their career as a Work Shadow - Computer Networks at Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited in 2010, where they gained experience working alongside network technicians and learning about the company's use of networks and computers.

Ben then worked as a System Engineer at Applied Computer Technologies in 2012, troubleshooting user problems primarily related to Citrix.

In 2013, Ben worked as an IT Student Intern at Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited, where they helped fix issues with the company's management system by collaborating with the purchasing department and finding solutions.

From 2014 to 2018, they served as a DevOps Engineer at Sky, responsible for various DevOps tasks.

In 2018, Ben joined Marin Software as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, managing infrastructure, application deployments, and operations. Ben utilized technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, and ELK Stack.

In 2019, they transitioned to Letgo as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they continued their work in DevOps for three years.

Currently, Ben is a Senior DevOps Engineer at eterlast, starting in 2022.

Ben Groves earned a BSc in Computing from the University of Central Lancashire, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. Prior to their university education, from 2005 to 2011, they attended Warwick Academy, where they obtained their IB certificates.
