Chichano Mengistu

Chichano Mengistu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Chichano's most recent position was as a Youth Employability Project Coordinator at the Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD). Prior to that, Chichano worked as a Disability Inclusion Advisor at ECDD. Chichano also has experience working at the Ethiopian Red Cross Society, where they held various roles such as Head of Human Resource Planning and Development Division, Sr. System Improvement and Innovation Officer, and Sr. Human Resource Development & System Improvement Officer. Before that, Chichano worked at Salu Self Help Blind & Handicapped Association as a Project Support Officer and IGA and Training Center Manager. Chichano's previous experience also includes working as a Human Resources Manager at Christian Horizons and as an Administration Officer II, District Manager, and Administrative Assistant at the Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation.

Chichano Mengistu has pursued an extensive education in various fields. From 2018 to 2022, they attended Ethiopian Civil Service University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance. Prior to that, they attended Ashland University from 2017 to 2019, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus area of Project Management in Business Administration.

Chichano's academic journey began at Addis Ababa University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from 2008 to 2015. Additionally, they earned another Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the same university from 2002 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Chichano has also obtained various certifications. In September 2017, they completed a Training of Trainers (TOT) certification at the Ethiopian Red Cross Society. In December 2016, they acquired a certification in Management Research Methods from the Ethiopian Management Institute. Furthermore, they hold a certification in Advanced Computer, although the institution from which they obtained it is not specified.
