Emma Rao

Emma Rao is a highly skilled Mandarin interpreter and translator with extensive experience in various roles since 2014. Currently, Emma serves as a Mandarin Interpreter for NSW Health while also freelancing with organizations such as TIS National, Ethnolink, LanguageLoop, and Translationz Australia. Emma has held the position of NAATI Role-player and freelanced with Ethnic Interpreters and Translators from 2021 to 2024. In addition to interpreting, Emma has experience in academic tutoring and administration, having worked as a Casual Academic at The Australian National University and as an Administration Assistant at New-Bridge Education & Migration. Emma holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from The Australian National University and a Master of Arts in Language Interpretation and Translation from The University of Queensland, along with a Bachelor of Laws from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.
